Portsmouth Chinese School
Portsmouth Chinese School is part of the Portsmouth Chinese Association (PCA) which is a registered charity organisation. The school was found in 1980 and has provided opportunities for many generations of local Chinese Children to learn, read and write the language. In recent year we have extended our services to welcome children of any ethnic origin who are interested in Chinese Language to join our school. Students aged between 5 -18 are taught at various levels depending on their standard. We organise classes ranging from beginner to GCSE and ‘A’ Level. Our teachers are volunteers and are DBS checked. They are from the local Chinese community and the Portsmouth University, and some of them are qualified teachers in China. Portsmouth Chinese Association Sunday School holds a fine reputation within the UK Chinese community. In June 2008 our school was visited by the Chairman of the UK Association for the Promotion of Chinese Education, Mr. Sin Hung Ng, MBE who has recommended our school to the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of the PR China as one of the Model Chinese Schools in the UK.
We welcome everyone who are interested in learning Chinese.
